Because Covid-19 literally resulted in lockdown for a good four months. I decided to use this opportunity to branch out and test out new hair brands with the extra money that would’ve been used for travel. Overall, I’m glad I did this because I now have options!
Luxemore London African Moringa Moisturising Conditioner
I actually won this conditioner in a giveaway, (shout out to Yard and Parrish for gifting me this). And I’m so happy I won because this multi-purpose conditioner has left a good impression. I use this as a pre-poo mixed with Avocado and Grapeseed oil and my hair feels soft after every use. Not to mention the tangles that once plagued my hair are nowhere to be found. Which overall is great as this is how I want my hair to be before I cleanse it with shampoo. Additionally, I love how natural this product is as there are only eight ingredients! Meaning I don’t have to deal with nasty chemicals.
Maui Moisture Vanilla Bean Shampoo
For a while, I’ve wanted to try this shampoo. As first of all, it’s Maui Moisture. I’ve tried a couple of their products and I have to say that I’ve enjoyed most of them especially, my fave, the Curl Quench Shampoo. Furthermore, I am obsessed with anything vanilla scented, so I had to get this. Overall I like this shampoo as it cleanses my hair pretty well without stripping the moisture that came from my pre-poo. Not to mention this shampoo provides slip which I appreciate. However, the only disappointing thing about this product is the scent. I was really looking forward to the shampoo having a really sweet odour but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
The Eden BodyWorks Almond Marshmallow Split End Repair Masque
If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably already seen me try out this product. Honestly, I’m glad I picked this up because I really like it! In fact, I think it’s a lot better than the previous mask I’ve been using. As this deep conditioner leaves my hair feeling soft. It also instantly detangles my coils and it smells lush. Not to mention for £11.99 you get almost 500 ml of this product. Which in my opinion is pretty generous. Since I’ve had masques with less product that have lasted for months.
To wrap this up, having options when it comes to natural hair is great and an important to thing to me. As it’s nice to know that there are many products out there that work for my type 4 coils. Not to mention with the way our economy is going your fave brand could legit go bankrupt the next day. So it’s good to have backups.
